The top image here is excellent. I work very close to this building and it is far from easy to photograph well.

As a matter of fact it's a challenging subject, since getting a good vantage point is almost impossible.
I'd probably use a wide angle lens if only I had it one in my bag that day, but I usually walk with one camera and one lens in order to make things as simple as I can.
But at the end of the day the 50mm field of view turned out to be a compulsory choice and a lucky one, as it often happens.
I'm very fond of my Summicron-M 50mm prime. Moreover, when mounted on the Monochrome body, it allows a comfortable cropping headroom, at the cost of a more than acceptable loss of resolution. Which wasn't the case that time, but often is.
